A downloadable game for Android

Fitoon is an obstacle race mobile game, but to play it you need to run in real life. To move the character with the player's head, we used AR Face Tracking. It analyzes the face movement in the vertical axis to determine the cadence and it is also used to determine the direction. This way, the character will always go where the player looks, and if the player runs faster, the character will too! There are 4 different levels and various skins that the player can choose and change colors. They can also change the running shoes, offering an immersive and fun experience.

This is a demo of an idea to encourage people to make exercise. It works better if you are running on a treadmill, with the camera looking at your face. However, if you get to make your phone stay still and look at your face, you can "run" in place and it will work too. We recomend to see the video before!

In the future we would like to add rankings, multiplayer and a functional shop

Install instructions

  • Install the apk on your phone
  • When you start a race, the camera will fade in. Put the phone on a fixed position so it stays still. The camera must see all the head. When the face is detected, it will fade out. Recommended to see the video first.
  • Run! To move the character, turn your head, looking slightly to the right or to the left (like saying "no").  If you run with more cadence, it will run faster. If you stop running, it will walk slow.
